Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

Teknalb Plus is hiring a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to build and maintain distributed systems and streaming infrastructure. The role focuses on consensus algorithms, performance optimization, enterprise deployments, and verification and chaos engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain core Raft consensus algorithms and lock-free ring buffer implementations
• Profile and optimize memory layouts, CPU cache usage, and kernel socket IO
• Collaborate directly with enterprise client architects to deploy mission-critical streaming cores
• Perform formal verification and chaos engineering simulations on distributed clusters

Requirements:

• 5+ years of systems programming experience in Rust, C++, or Go
• Deep understanding of distributed consensus (Raft/Paxos), TCP/IP networking, and Linux kernel internals
• Experience with high-throughput event systems (Kafka, Redpanda, Aeron, ClickHouse)
• Pragmatic approach to engineering: clarity, test coverage, and documentation over hype
