Software Engineer

Forte International Tax, LLC is an international tax services firm that uses its VantagePoint™ software platform to support tax planning and process efficiencies. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain functionality for the VantagePoint™ SaaS application and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of C# and JavaScript programming languages
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Experience with ASP.Net, Web Forms, CSS, and AJAX
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, TortoiseSVN, and Subversion version control system
• Experience with software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Must be a self-starter

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with generating and processing XML
• Experience with Progress / Telerik ASP.NET AJAX user interface library for Web Forms
