Sales & Marketing Engineer – Industrial Products (Mechanical Seals / Process Pumps / Automotive)

RBST Consulting is seeking a Sales & Marketing Engineer for an unnamed client to drive business development and technical sales for engineered carbon products across North and South America. The role focuses on developing customer relationships, supporting technical sales, and coordinating with manufacturing and product development teams in India.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute technical sales and marketing strategies to expand market presence across North and South America
• Identify new customers, market opportunities, industry trends, and potential business segments
• Promote engineered carbon products, including seal rings, radial bearings, vanes, and other industrial carbon components
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to technical discussions, quotations, order booking, and customer relationship management
• Build and maintain relationships with customers across automotive, heavy machinery, industrial equipment, pumps, valves, aerospace, ceramics, and related manufacturing industries
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and customer requirements
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and internal sales teams in India to ensure timely order processing and dispatch
• Provide technical product information and develop customized solutions in collaboration with engineering and production teams
• Support marketing initiatives through customer outreach, industry events, digital campaigns, and other business development activities
• Maintain sales pipelines, customer records, forecasts, and performance reports using CRM and other business tools
• Travel across the US and other relevant markets as required to develop customer relationships and generate business

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Powder Technology, Ceramic Technology, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, sales engineering , or B2B business development
• Strong understanding of technical product selling and industrial customer requirements
• Proven ability to generate leads, develop customer accounts, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales
• Excellent communication, presentation, relationship management, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluency in English is essential
• Candidates must be US citizens or US permanent residents holding a valid Green Card, with the legal authorization required to work in the United States
• Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred:
• Carbon and graphite products
• Industrial ceramics and powder metallurgy
• Automotive components and heavy machinery
• Industrial equipment, pumps, valves, and engineered components
• Capital goods and manufacturing
• experience with CRM platforms, SAP S/4HANA, and/or Power BI is an advantage
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are preferred
