Vice President of Product Management

Suffolk Capital is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead its Product Management organization and drive product strategy, roadmap execution, innovation, and business growth. The role oversees product planning, discovery, development coordination, launches, analytics, and lifecycle management while aligning cross-functional teams around customer value and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company's overall Product Management strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities
• Establish product management frameworks, processes, standards, and governance practices
• Translate business priorities and customer needs into actionable product strategies and initiatives
• Evaluate market trends, customer expectations, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
• Advise executive leadership on product investments, strategic priorities, and long-term portfolio development
• Define and communicate the product vision, strategic direction, and long-term roadmap
• Develop product roadmaps that align with customer requirements, business goals, and commercial priorities
• Prioritize features, enhancements, and initiatives based on customer value, revenue potential, cost, and strategic impact
• Coordinate product dependencies, release schedules, milestones, and resource requirements across teams
• Review roadmap progress regularly and adjust priorities based on customer feedback, market changes, and business performance
• Establish product discovery processes to identify customer needs, pain points, and unmet market demands
• Oversee customer interviews, market research, usability studies, surveys, and competitive analysis
• Develop Voice of the Customer (VoC) programs to incorporate customer feedback into product decisions
• Analyze customer behavior, product usage data, support requests, and feature adoption patterns
• Validate product concepts and business assumptions before committing significant development resources
• Partner with Engineering and Design leadership to coordinate product development and delivery
• Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success criteria
• Ensure product initiatives are clearly scoped, prioritized, and aligned with technical capabilities
• Monitor development progress, resolve product-related blockers, and manage cross-functional dependencies
• Balance speed, quality, usability, scalability, and technical feasibility throughout the product development lifecycle
• Oversee the company's product portfolio and evaluate performance across products, features, and customer segments
• Assess product adoption, revenue contribution, profitability, customer satisfaction, and strategic relevance
• Identify opportunities to improve, expand, reposition, consolidate, or retire products
• Establish portfolio prioritization frameworks to guide investment decisions and resource allocation
• Manage product lifecycle strategies from discovery and development through launch, growth, maturity, and retirement
• Lead product management activities for new product launches, major releases, and significant product enhancements
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to develop go-to-market plans
• Coordinate product positioning, messaging, packaging, launch readiness, and internal enablement
• Ensure commercial teams understand product capabilities, target customers, value propositions, and competitive differentiation
• Monitor launch performance, customer adoption, and market response to identify opportunities for improvement
• Establish product performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and executive dashboards
• Monitor key performance indicators, including product adoption, active users, feature usage, retention, churn, conversion, and customer satisfaction
• Analyze product engagement, customer feedback, revenue contribution, and product return on investment
• Establish product objectives and key results (OKRs) and review progress against measurable business outcomes
• Use data-driven insights to improve product prioritization, customer experience, product performance, and investment decisions
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing Product Management organization
• Lead and support Product Directors, Group Product Managers, Senior Product Managers, Product Managers, and Product Operations professionals
• Establish product management career paths, competency frameworks, performance standards, and leadership development plans
• Promote collaboration among Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams
• Build a culture of customer focus, strategic thinking, innovation, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
• 20+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, Product Development, or related functions
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing product teams, product portfolios, or cross-functional product organizations
• Demonstrated success defining product strategies, developing roadmaps, and delivering products that generate measurable customer and business value
• Strong experience in product discovery, customer research, prioritization, product analytics, and lifecycle management
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and executive stakeholders
• Experience managing product portfolios, allocating resources, and evaluating product performance against business objectives
• Strong understanding of market analysis, competitive positioning, customer experience, and commercial strategy
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant master's degree preferred
• Additional education in product strategy, business analytics, technology management, or innovation is an advantage
