Project Design Manager

Mobile Medical International Corporation is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as the technical partner to its Commercial Sales team. The role scopes and validates mobile and water system solutions, develops technically feasible proposals, supports Salesforce pipeline management, and coordinates project handoffs.

Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development: Proactively drive technical sales proposals by independently defining scope, identifying required inputs, aggressively pursuing missing information, and verifying equipment configurations prior to contract generation
• Collaborative CRM Management: Take initiative in partnering with Sales Representatives to maintain accurate Salesforce opportunity data. Proactively resolve gaps in technical configurations, scoping notes, and product details to support reliable forecasting and pipeline reporting
• Technical Scoping & Layouts: Independently create preliminary 2D site layouts and room plans using AutoCAD LT, proactively identifying potential fit or workflow challenges and recommending practical solutions for customer approval
• Project Transition: Take ownership of the technical handoff of won projects to Project Management, Engineering, and Service teams. Proactively coordinate information and clarify the sold solution to prevent scope creep during execution
• Technical Sales Support: Actively serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during customer presentations and video calls, confidently address engineering-related questions, anticipate customer needs, and proactively validate infrastructure requirements
• Regulatory Compliance: Independently verify proposed solutions against relevant healthcare standards (AAMI, FGI, ASHRAE) and facility constraints, proactively identify commercial risks, and aggressively pursue timely resolutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Medical Equipment Planning, or Technical Sales
• Ability to read and accurately interpret architectural blueprints, mechanical site plans, P&IDs, and electrical/logic schematics
• Broad familiarity with facility infrastructure and common building standards (NEC, plumbing, fire codes)
• An understanding of the practical challenges of connecting complex equipment to existing hospital utility systems
• Working knowledge of mechanical control mechanisms (valves, gauges, sensors) and custom digital monitoring systems (basic sensor configuration and signal processing)
• Expert-level is not required, but a strong, multi-disciplinary technical aptitude is essential
• Ability to collaborate and troubleshoot with a wide variety of professionals—including hospital facility maintenance, SPD service technicians, architects, electricians, and plumbers
• Experience working collaboratively within Salesforce to manage technical data
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT for 2D floor plan layouts
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)
• Independently identify priorities, proactively take action without prompting, and consistently drive responsibilities through completion
• Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, ambitiously pursue objectives, overcome obstacles, and deliver timely, high-quality results
• Anticipate challenges, independently investigate options, and decisively implement practical solutions

• Familiarity with AAMI/ASHRAE/FGI guidelines or Sterile Processing (SPD) workflows
