Translational AI Engineer | Biomedical Informatics Specialist | Le Bonheur | Full-Time | Days

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is a healthcare organization supporting biomedical research through the Children's Foundation Research Institute. The Translational AI Engineer and Biomedical Informatics Specialist will develop and strengthen informatics technologies, translate researcher needs into technical solutions, and support research objectives through effective project management and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes and implements software and design practices to document biomedical informatics solutions to support a wide range of informatics and research
• Works directly with researchers to analyze and translate their needs into technical designs and informatics solutions
• Leads efforts to ensure that biomedical informatics systems support via effective project management, presentation, communication and organization practices
• Leads efforts to ensure that biomedical informatics systems support and advance research objectives

Requirements:

• Required - Master's Degree Biostatistics
• Required - Informatics technologies 1-3 years
• Knowledge of preparing peer review articles
• Experience with web development technologies, web-scripting and object-orented languages, such as PHP, C#, SQL, CSS, JavaScript, JAVA, XML, HTML5, Web services, etc
• Working knowledge of relational databases, like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc., as well as version control software, and continuous integration software
• Familiar with Data Management System (e.g., REDCap, OpenClinica, etc.)
• Possesses strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skill
• Experience in developing applications for higher education/biomedical environments and general purpose visual analytic tools that offer a fresh way to visually browser and arrange massive amounts of data for research
• Demonstrates the ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and to analyze data in order to produce publications and instructional materials for the academic and public communities and communicate these findings through presentations and articles
