Product Design Intern (Remote)

WebstaurantStore, a Clark Associates company, is an online restaurant supply company serving foodservice businesses with a broad range of products. The Product Design Intern will support the Marketing Sites team by designing and refining customer-facing experiences across private label sites, collaborating with designers, developers, and marketing stakeholders, and contributing to design systems and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

• Design page layouts, components, and visual assets for private label marketing sites
• Support brand-consistent execution across multiple private label properties
• Collaborate with design, dev, and marketing stakeholders on site updates and campaigns
• Assist with design QA — reviewing built pages against comps for accuracy
• Help maintain and extend design system components used across sites
• Participate in critiques and contribute ideas in team reviews

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, Visual Communication, or related field
• Working knowledge of Figma (or similar design tools)
• Basic understanding of web design principles (typography, layout, responsive design)
• Strong eye for visual polish — not just "does it work" but "does it feel premium"
• Ability to take direction and iterate quickly based on feedback
• Proactive — motivated to learn, work collaboratively, and leave things better than they found them
• Dependable — meet commitments consistently and communicate roadblocks early
• Problem solvers — able to dig into a bug or puzzle through a tricky layout
• Passionate — excited about code and eager to work with new technology

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection
• Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks
• Access to a home router and modem
• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free
• The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible)
• A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.)
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc

• We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available
