Senior Strategic Accounts Manager (Mid-Market)

Garner Health is a healthcare company focused on improving care quality and reducing healthcare costs for employers and members. The Senior Strategic Accounts Manager will retain and grow mid-market employer clients by serving as a strategic partner on plan design, cost trends, and performance, while driving net revenue retention and other key performance indicators.

Responsibilities:

• Own the process to retain and upsell Garner's small and mid-market employer clients (250 - 1,000 lives)
• Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure clients receive an excellent experience and achieve expected results
• Serve as the client's trusted strategic partner on plan design, bending cost trends, and driving plan performance
• Establish and manage key strategic broker and client relationships
• Monitor overall client health, anticipate strategic needs, and execute proactive plans to address key account risks
• Partner with finance, product, data, and technology teams to deliver reports demonstrating Garner's value and ROI
• Drive improved Net Revenue Retention and other KPIs for your book of business

Requirements:

• Deep health plan design and benefits knowledge, including experience advising employer clients on benefits strategy and cost performance
• 4+ years of experience in a commercially-oriented consultant/broker, account management, or sales role in the employee benefits space
• A deep commercial focus with proven results of achieving retention and upsell targets year over year
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to work in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving, and fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, and articulation skills
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in ambiguous strategic situations
