Senior Product Manager

Microsoft is a technology company advancing cloud and artificial intelligence through Azure. The Senior Product Manager will define and execute the strategy for Azure Change Management, building scalable developer platforms that make configuration changes safer, more reliable, and increasingly AI-powered. The role leads cross-functional execution, drives adoption and standardization, and measures improvements in reliability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Define the product vision and strategy for Change Management across Azure, driving a consistent, scalable, and reliable approach to managing configurations across services and environments
• Drive configuration standardization across Azure, establishing common patterns, schemas, policies, and experiences that reduce fragmentation and operational complexity across diverse Azure services
• Build the next generation of Azure Change Management, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, security, reliability, and service teams to deliver a platform that enables safe, scalable, and automated configuration changes
• Solve complex customer and service-team problems across the deployment & maintenance lifecycle—from authoring and validation to deployment, monitoring, drift detection, rollback, and remediation
• Develop a platform strategy that enables Azure services to onboard easily while providing consistent capabilities for deployment validation, policy enforcement, health assessment, and safe change execution
• Leverage AI and agentic experiences to make experiences more intelligent—helping identify risks, recommend changes, automate remediation, and improve the safety of production changes
• Drive adoption across Azure, working with service teams and partner organizations to establish standards, accelerate onboarding, and ensure the platform delivers measurable value at scale
• Establish and manage product metrics that demonstrate improvements in configuration consistency, reliability, change safety, operational efficiency, and customer experience
• Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, design, security, reliability, and Azure service teams, translating ambiguous and complex problems into clear priorities, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
• Represent the product vision with senior leadership, communicating strategy, progress, tradeoffs, and business impact while influencing teams across organizational boundaries

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in data analysis, product/service/program management or software development

• OR equivalent experience

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
• Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development

• OR equivalent experience

• 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework)
• 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn)
• 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product)
• 6+ years working on developer platforms, orchestration platforms and building large-scale distributed systems
• 8+ years of experience in cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• 8+ years of experience working with developer languages used to manage resources within cloud environments
