Project Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Program Recruitment (Part-Time)

Research To Practice is seeking a part-time Project Manager to support oncology educational initiatives through strategic partnership development, institution recruitment, and external engagement. The role manages outreach pipelines, partnership activities, project timelines, stakeholder communications, and recruitment and participation data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and recruit medical oncology practices, cancer centers, academic institutions, health systems, and community oncology groups for Grand Rounds participation
• Conduct and coordinate outreach to physicians, administrators, education coordinators, and other institutional contacts
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective, interested, confirmed, and scheduled institutions
• Manage recruitment timelines, follow-up activities, and program-specific goals
• Develop relationships with participating institutions to support repeat participation in future programs
• Identify and cultivate relationships with patient advocacy organizations, professional societies, healthcare institutions, and other strategic partners
• Research and evaluate organizations aligned with RTP’s oncology educational priorities
• Coordinate advocacy group and partner participation in educational initiatives, content development efforts, outreach campaigns, and other projects
• Manage partnership communications, timelines, deliverables, and follow-up
• Maintain an organized database of partner contacts, activities, and future collaboration opportunities
• Manage multiple Grand Rounds series, advocacy collaborations, and other external engagement projects simultaneously
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication among internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate project plans, recruitment trackers, contact records, and status reports
• Identify and resolve barriers to recruitment, participation, and project execution
• Coordinate with RTP’s scientific, marketing, meetings, outcomes, production, and project management teams
• Support targeted email, telephone, and other outreach efforts designed to recruit institutions and engage external partners
• Collaborate with marketing staff to develop recruitment and engagement strategies
• Tailor outreach based on disease state, geography, institution type, organization type, and audience needs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and recommend improvements
• Monitor recruitment, participation, attendance, and partner engagement metrics
• Analyze trends in institutional recruitment and external partnership activity
• Prepare regular status reports for leadership and project teams
• Use data to identify high-potential institutions, organizations, and future partnership opportunities
• Recommend process improvements based on recruitment and participation data

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of project management experience
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical education, patient advocacy, nonprofit organizations, or a related field
• Experience with marketing, outreach, recruitment, relationship management, or partnership development
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with recruitment, marketing, participation, or engagement data
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel, databases, trackers, and project management tools
• Ability to work independently and provide clear, consistent progress reporting
• Experience in oncology or hematology
• Experience working with patient advocacy organizations
• Experience recruiting healthcare institutions, physicians, or healthcare professionals
• Familiarity with academic cancer centers, hospital systems, and community oncology practices
• Experience with continuing medical education or healthcare educational programming
• Experience using CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or contact databases
