Associate Director, Boeing Customer Account Manager

RTX, including its Raytheon business, is a leading aerospace and defense company that develops solutions to protect nations and their allies. The Associate Director, Customer Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison to Boeing Defense, Space & Security, building customer relationships, identifying opportunities, securing orders, and driving growth. The role also involves resolving customer issues, coordinating cross-functional policies, analyzing customer trends, and maintaining proactive communication while working remotely near St. Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities:

• Grow share-of-wallet (amount of dollars on average a customer regularly devotes to a particular brand/company versus a competing brand/company)
• Build customer intimacy with Boeing Defense, Space and Security to keep a pulse on the customer and their satisfaction with and needs from Raytheon
• Guide and assist an indirect team in solving complex customer issues when required and build meaningful relationships with the customer
• Continually strive to improve the customer service experience by taking ownership of escalated customer issues, investigating and following them through to resolution
• Ensure that all customer requests are handled with professionalism and within a timely manner
• Collect and consolidate information regarding customer interactions and transactions, analyze customer interaction and trends to facilitate future needs
• Collaborate with other functional areas to set both internal and customer facing policies that balance customer and organizational needs
• Ensure that continuous feedback to the customer is maintained on any formal and informal inquiries and requests for information
• 35 - 45% domestic travel
• Work Location: MO – St. Louis - Must reside within 50 miles of the customer’s site in St. Louis, MO for onsite engagements

Requirements:

• Typically requires a University Degree in engineering, technology, or business administration/management and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years' experience
• Minimum 7 years' experience working with or for Boeing Defense in program management, business development or engineering to show evidence of a deep understanding and network established at Boeing. Network should include executives, program managers, supply chain and/or engineering
• Department of Defense (DoD) related experience including solving, resolving and defusing situations with internal and external customers and resulting in outcomes that maintain mutually beneficial customer relations. Must be able to provide clear evidence of defense industry domain knowledge, pipeline creation and business growth
• Experience working on F-15, Phantom Works, HVAA-P
• Strong business acumen with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables
• Rigorous and well organized, excellent presentation skills, good negotiating skills and diplomacy
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed and decisive in a fast-paced environment
