Outside Sales Account Manager

NEXT Industries is an industrial supplier and technical partner serving manufacturers. The Outside Sales Account Manager will own and grow the Western Michigan/Lansing territory by developing customer relationships, identifying new business, and providing technical manufacturing, cutting tool, machining, MRO, and industrial product solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Own and grow an established territory throughout Western Michigan and the Lansing area
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing and industrial customers
• Identify new customers and opportunities while expanding business within existing accounts
• Consult with customers to understand their manufacturing, tooling, MRO, and operational needs
• Provide technical product knowledge and solutions , with an emphasis on cutting tools, machining, MRO, and related industrial products
• Conduct regular on-site customer visits to identify opportunities, troubleshoot challenges, and recommend solutions
• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and recommendations in partnership with our internal teams
• Collaborate with quoting, pricing, customer service, technical, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain accurate CRM/customer records, sales activity, opportunity pipelines, and forecasts
• Represent NEXT Industries at customer events, trade shows, vendor meetings, and training programs

Requirements:

• 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, MRO, cutting tools, or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, machining, MRO products, or manufacturing processes
• A proven track record of growing accounts, developing new business, and managing a sales territory
• Strong business-to-business relationship-building and consultative selling skills
• Ability to understand a customer's operation and translate technical needs into practical solutions
• Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management systems
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
