Manager of Data Products

PYMNTS Intelligence is the research arm of PYMNTS, an intelligence platform focused on payments, commerce, the AI economy and digital assets. The Manager of Data Products will turn Trendscapes data dashboards into a subscription product by maintaining dashboards, publishing data briefs, merchandising findings, and optimizing traffic, registrations, conversions, and churn.

Responsibilities:

• The dashboards section of the site. You'll keep every Trendscape current, organized and findable. You'll own the registration and paywall path and know, for each dashboard, what's free, what's gated and why
• A steady stream of data briefs. You'll publish short briefs on a fixed cadence. Each one is built around one chart and one finding that's news today. You'll use AI tools to scan the data for the angle, draft fast and test headlines. You'll own the judgment on what's actually a story
• Merchandising the data. You'll decide which charts and findings get pushed to social, newsletters and the sales team as proof points, and you'll package them so they travel
• Traffic and conversion. You'll work with our growth team on paid, email and answer-engine optimization, and you'll know which briefs and which dashboards pull registrations and which convert to paid
• The numbers. You'll report registrations, conversion to paid and churn by Trendscape every month, and you'll tell our sales and research teams which data sets are working and which need help

Requirements:

• You've grown a data product, a newsletter audience or a subscription content business, and you can show the numbers
• You think in headlines and funnels. You can look at a chart and see the story in it, and you can tell when there isn't one
• You're fluent with AI writing and analysis tools and you use them every day to move faster, not to replace your judgment
• You're comfortable in a spreadsheet and a charting tool. You don't need an analyst to pull a cut for you
• You write clean, plain English quickly
• You've worked with growth and sales teams and you like being measured on outcomes
• Curiosity about the data is
• Payments, commerce or fintech background is a plus, not a requirement
