Product Design Manager, Visibility & Spend Control

Rocket Money is a financial technology company that helps people gain clarity and control over their finances. The Product Design Manager will lead and mentor designers while contributing hands-on design work for Visibility and Spend Control products, including Spending, Recurring, and Budgets. The role partners with product, engineering, research, analytics, and design operations teams to shape product strategy and deliver user-centered experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with VSC’s Group Product Manager and Engineering Director to set and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Champion quality and user-centered design principles across everything your team builds and ships
• Manage and mentor a small team of designers, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence in design practices
• Design, prototype and ship experiences that help users make smarter financial decisions
• Work closely with cross-functional partners in Research, Design Systems, Data Analytics, and Product Design Ops to elevate your team’s thinking and execution
• Collaborate with other Product Design Team Leads to drive visibility and cohesion across groups and continuously improve our design process
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously elevate the product and the team’s capabilities

Requirements:

• You have at least 8 years of experience in user experience design or a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of impactful design solutions and effective team leadership
• You have at least 2 years of experience in a role with design management responsibilities
• You are proficient in Figma and the first to try to make your process more efficient through Claude, ChatGPT and Figma's latest releases
• You are not only an effective executor but also a skilled mentor, capable of leading initiatives from concept to completion while guiding other team members
• You excel at collaborating, synthesizing feedback and driving projects forward, even when there are differing opinions in the room
