Software Product Manager: Engineering & Development, Associate Director

RTX is an aerospace and defense company seeking a business-savvy software product manager for its Enterprise Services team. The Associate Director will define product strategy, prioritize development, conduct market research, collaborate cross-functionally, and oversee the full software product lifecycle from conception through ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy and Roadmap: Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals
• Prioritize development work: Maintain and be responsible for the clear product requirements, delivery with the Engineering team and metrics for success are built and maintained
• Market Research and Analysis: Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and gathering customer feedback to understand market needs and identify opportunities
• Product Definition and Prioritization: Translating market requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and prioritizing features based on business value and customer impact
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and launch
• Product Lifecycle Management: Managing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to end-of-life, including planning, development, testing, launch, and ongoing maintenance
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Tracking product performance using key metrics and making data-driven decisions to optimize the product
• Travel Required: Up to 20%

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• Typically requires a University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field. or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field and minimum 10 years experience
• 10+ years of experience related to product management and/or software development
• Technical Proficiency: Understanding software development processes, technologies, and architectures
• Business Acumen: Understanding market trends, business models, and financial implications
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. (Influencer)
