Project Manager I

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is an energy company dedicated to delivering energy safely and building trusting relationships. The Project Manager I supports project delivery under close supervision by coordinating cross-functional activities, schedules, budgets, risks, documentation, reporting, and project closeout.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with development and maintenance of project execution plans
• Coordinate project activities with engineering, construction, procurement, operations, and other functional teams
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules and milestone tracking
• Assist with monitoring project budgets, commitments, and expenditures
• Collect and report project performance information and key performance indicators
• Participate in project team meetings and document actions, decisions, and follow-up items
• Support project risk identification, tracking, and mitigation activities
• Maintain project documentation, meeting records, and governance requirements
• Assist with change management and project reporting processes
• Support project closeout activities and lessons learned documentation
• Learn and apply company project management standards and governance requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
• Experience supporting capital projects
• Familiarity with project scheduling software
• Knowledge of project management principles
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline
• 0–3 years of project management, engineering, construction, operations, or related experience
• Valid Driver's License required
