Full Stack Software Engineer

Pest Share is a fully remote B2B SaaS company building automated, on-demand pest control solutions for rental homes. The Full Stack Software Engineer will design, build, and scale user-facing features and backend services, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams. The role also contributes to architecture, performance optimization, developer experience, testing, deployment, and engineering culture.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing features and backend services that are scalable, secure, and reliable
• Collaborate across teams to define technical requirements and deliver end-to-end product experiences
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to decisions about frontend and backend systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code across the stack
• Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance on both client and server sides
• Advocate for and implement best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
• Contribute to improving developer experience through tooling, CI/CD enhancements, and process improvements
• Participate in peer reviews, share knowledge, and help foster a strong engineering culture

Requirements:

• Significant experience building modern web applications (frontend and backend)
• Proficiency in at least one frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and one backend language (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Java)
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and system design principles
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical depth with business priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working in cross-functional teams
• A pragmatic approach to engineering — you know when to optimize for scalability and when to deliver quickly
• You're passionate about crafting smooth, intuitive user experiences backed by solid engineering fundamentals
• You enjoy working across the stack and can move comfortably between frontend details and backend architecture
