Business Analyst – Demand Forecasting (6339)

The Business Analyst – Demand Forecasting will own demand forecasting and performance analysis for consumer hardware product lines, partnering cross-functionally to build forecasts, analyze results, and provide insights for production and launch decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain bottom-up Sell-Through and Sell-In forecasts using quantitative and qualitative datasets across consumer hardware and accessory products
• Partner with sales, category management, analytics, marketing, and channel operations teams to develop accurate demand plans and identify growth opportunities
• Forecast and track weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance, including product-level and channel-level analysis
• Analyze actuals versus forecast and goals, identify root causes of performance gaps, and develop mitigation plans
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, dependencies, correlations, and opportunities to continuously improve forecast accuracy
• Communicate forecast assumptions, business drivers, and the expected impact of strategic activities to cross-functional stakeholders
• Present forecast results, performance insights, and recommendations to business leaders and support production and product launch decisions
• Attend regular internal practice community meetings
• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
• Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material)
• Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice
• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual)
• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in hardware product demand forecasting or demand planning, including accessories
• 6+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics, or sales planning
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining quantitative forecasting models
• Experience analyzing actuals versus forecast and identifying performance drivers and root causes
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Google Workspace
• Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, analytics, and/or operations teams
• Experience presenting analytical findings, forecasts, and recommendations to business stakeholders
• Ability to independently manage hands-on, day-to-day and week-to-week forecasting and analytical activities
• Strong ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into actionable business insights
• Experience forecasting physical consumer goods or consumer hardware products
• Experience with dedicated forecasting or demand-planning systems
• Experience supporting retail, e-commerce, channel, or multiple selling-channel environments
• Experience supporting product production, launch, or inventory decisions
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
