Data Engineer II

Drips is hiring a Data Engineer II to translate business questions into reporting solutions, build data pipelines, and deliver trusted dashboards and analyses. The role partners with stakeholders and technical teammates to validate data, improve reporting, and support scalable self-service data practices.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs, clarify business questions, and define the right analytical approach
• Write and refine SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from core business systems
• Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and recurring reporting assets that deliver clear, accurate insights to teams across the business
• Work across backend data sources, including systems such as Salesforce and Manage, to support reporting and analysis needs
• Validate data quality, investigate discrepancies, and troubleshoot reporting issues to improve trust in outputs
• Translate complex findings into clear, usable summaries for both operational and leadership audiences
• Support the broader shift toward governed, accessible data products and more scalable reporting practices
• Contribute to documentation, repeatable reporting standards, and continuous improvement of team workflows

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a closely related role
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to work independently across complex reporting requests
• Experience building dashboards and analytical outputs that help stakeholders make decisions
• Ability to clarify vague or complex reporting requests and convert them into structured deliverables
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and data validation instincts
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort working across multiple systems and data sources in a fast-moving environment
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
• Experience working with Salesforce, operational reporting, or client-facing reporting needs
• Familiarity with data governance, standardized definitions, and self-service reporting models
• Experience partnering with data engineers or working in an environment with evolving data platform capabilities
