Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent

Leavitt Group is one of the largest privately held insurance agency brokerages in the United States, brokering commercial and personal lines insurance for individuals and businesses. The Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent works with the Account Manager to provide timely, professional service to clients, respond to inquiries, process certificates and correspondence, assist with marketing and claims, and maintain accurate client records.

Responsibilities:

• Processes emails in agency boxes and moves them to the Account Manager folder if it pertains to a renewal
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding policy changes, etc., promptly
• Places Certificate requests in the appropriate folder or process them when needed
• Assists the Account Manager with marketing during the marketing and quotation process
• Assists clients/policyholders in filing claims or making claim updates
• Processes renewal certificates
• Follows department procedures for processing and preparation of customer correspondence, certificates of insurance, binder, cancellation requests, insurance ID cards and internal correspondence as requested, ensuring that activities and follow-ups are set and the client file in the agency management system is updated and consistent
• Fulfills other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (both verbally and in written form) effectively with clients, company personnel, and others
• Possess current Property, Casualty Insurance License
• Basic knowledge of Insurance products
• Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting
