L2 Operations Support Engineer (Cloud & DevOps)

Ness Digital Engineering is seeking an L2 Operations Support Engineer who will ensure the stability, availability, and performance of cloud-native production applications. This role involves collaborating with Development, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support production operations and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for production applications and platforms
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, restore service, and perform root cause analysis
• Participate in on-call support and production change activities
• Support Kubernetes environments, including deployments, scaling, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Monitor and support Kafka clusters, topics, brokers, and consumer groups to ensure reliable messaging
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments
• Execute release validation, environment promotion, and rollback activities
• Support DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational procedures
• Partner with Development, Infrastructure, and SRE teams to improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency
• Support monitoring and observability using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Dynatrace

Requirements:

• 4+ years supporting enterprise production environments
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience supporting Kafka or similar messaging platforms
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Cloud, Kubernetes (CKA), Terraform, or ITIL certifications
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps environments
