IT Project Manager I - Digital and Technology Partners - Hybrid/Remote

Mount Sinai Health System is one of the largest academic medical systems in the New York metro area, and they are seeking an IT Project Manager I to manage and direct complex projects. The role involves coordinating project teams, formulating project plans, and maintaining relationships with client functional areas outside of IT.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and directs one more project teams to meet complex project objectives
• Reviews, evaluates and formulates project plans, schedules and budgets
• Allocates staff and budget resources to meet changing corporate needs
• Identifies and negotiates schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives
• Organizes and guides project operations through the use of methodologies accepted by the industry
• Evaluates and reports progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects
• Modifies schedules as required
• Works with client departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support
• May direct one or more teams of specialists, analysts and programmers
• May contribute to the disaster recovery plan and implements it when necessary
• May prepare staff performance evaluations
• Keeps informed of technical and managerial advances in IT
• Performs additional duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 5+ years of related experience as a project team member of which at least 3 years have been in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
