Project Manager

Mphasis is a company that applies next-generation technology to help enterprises transform businesses globally. They are seeking a highly skilled Agile Scrum Master to join their dynamic project management team, responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, ensuring adherence to Agile processes, and driving team performance.

Responsibilities:

• Own and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies end-to-end, ensuring effective participation and engagement from all team members
• Maintain sprint cadence and enforce the Definition of Done to ensure quality deliverables
• Track velocity, burndown charts, and sprint metrics to provide insights into team performance and progress
• Ensure backlog hygiene and manage story readiness gates to facilitate smooth sprint planning
• Prepare and present weekly sprint status briefs tailored to business owners, highlighting key achievements and areas of focus
• Create and maintain monthly program health dashboards in an executive format for stakeholder visibility
• Maintain and distribute a Risk / Issue / Decision (RID) log to keep all stakeholders informed of potential challenges
• Align reporting of OKRs and KPIs per program cadence to ensure strategic objectives are met
• Surface and track blockers in real-time via an impediment log, ensuring timely resolution
• Drive resolution across teams, owning issues through to closure and ensuring accountability
• Escalate risks with context and recommended actions to facilitate informed decision-making
• Map and coordinate cross-program dependencies to enhance collaboration and efficiency
• Conduct team Agile maturity assessments and develop growth plans to enhance team capabilities
• Facilitate retrospectives with a focus on action-item ownership to drive continuous improvement
• Support SAFe PI Planning and ART coordination to align teams with program objectives
• Onboard new team members into Agile workflow standards, ensuring a smooth transition into the team

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in JIRA, including story creation, backlog management, sprint planning, reporting, dashboards, and dependency tracking
• Proven experience working with UI/UX teams and delivering Customer Experience (CX) and/or Employee Experience (EX) initiatives (mandatory)
• Must have worked as UI/UX developer/BA prior to SCRUM master role, and must have hands on knowledge of UI/UX
• Strong Agile/Scrum facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes and identify potential business and technical impacts, dependencies, and risks before implementation
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model and provide overlap support during IST evening hours for meetings and collaboration as needed
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Proficient in using Agile project management tools and software
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills
• Ability to track and analyze sprint metrics effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as Scrum Master
• Must have at least 4 years experience as UI/UX developer/BA/designer, prior to scrum role
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience as a Product Owner (PO) or Business Analyst (BA)
• Technical background in Development, QA, Architecture, or Technical Analysis
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, databases, and modern web/mobile application architectures
• Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies
• Familiarity with project management software and tools
• Knowledge of OKR and KPI frameworks
• Experience in coaching teams on Agile best practices
