Senior AWS Site Reliability Engineer Preferably PST Remote

BURGEON IT SERVICES is seeking an experienced AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and maintain highly scalable, reliable cloud-native applications on AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong software engineering expertise and experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.

Requirements:

• 7+ or 10+ years of Software Engineering/SRE experience
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud
• Cloud-native application development
• Event-driven architecture & asynchronous processing
• Strong programming in Python OR Java OR TypeScript
• API development & Microservices architecture
• Scalable backend system design
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
• Resilience patterns & Failover strategies
• SLOs, SLIs & Error Budgets
• Disaster Recovery & Incident Management
• Operational Readiness
• Non-functional requirements (NFRs)
• Observability & Telemetry
• Experience with Splunk, Datadog, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, or Jira
• AI-enabled automation / Agentic AI / LLM-based Assistants
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Experience building maturity/scoring/assessment frameworks
• Enterprise integrations
• DevOps and Cloud Automation
