Manager, Marketing & Communications

Health Net Health Plan of Oregon, Inc. is a diversified, national organization committed to transforming the health of communities. The Manager, Marketing & Communications will oversee all state-wide marketing and communication activities, ensuring compliance and strategic solutions are met while managing a team and liaising with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the writing, design and production of member and provider newsletters, educational materials, handbooks, directories, manuals, member ID cards, promotional items and website content while maintaining Corporate brand and style guidelines and maintaining state compliancy
• Maintain and support the cultural competency program for the organization
• Review and submit state required deliverables
• Oversee staff to ensure that state requirement standards are met and programs are relevant to meeting the goals
• Serve as media contact and spokesperson on health plan specific issues and coordinate appropriate media responses with members of executive management
• Establish contacts and manage professional relationships with local vendors, agencies and community based organizations
• Work closely with all internal departments in order to achieve maximum outcomes in marketing initiatives and daily outreach activities
• Serve as liaison between Corporate Marketing & Communications and health plan adhering to company standards and the review and approval process

Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of marketing or communication experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Strong writing skills and experience using publishing software
• Previous managed care, government programs experience preferred
• Experience working with community based organizations a plus
• Experience working with the media preferred
• Current driver's license preferred
