Product Development Manager

Zazu Digital Talent is a premium DTC arts and crafts brand seeking a Product Development Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the full development lifecycle of new products, managing factory relationships, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Responsibilities:

• The full development lifecycle for the growth line: concept, trend research, prototyping, sampling, costing, packaging and production
• The daily relationship with the factory. You set the standard, not them
• Hands-on sample review: Pantone matching, mould check-ins, and the material and substitution calls that protect both premium feel and margin
• A roadmap built from what the community is actually asking for
• The process that makes it repeatable: master calendar, tighter tech packs, fewer revision rounds

Requirements:

• Experience in developing physical products in crafts, toys, collectibles, or giftware
• Hands-on experience communicating directly with factories
• Design fluency to mock up ideas and direct factories visually
• Ability to look outside the category for inspiration rather than just at direct competitors
• Personal experience in making crafts or products to understand customer needs
