Geospatial Business Development Representative (Inside Sales)

GeoMarvel is a software development company and Esri Gold Tier Business Partner based in Alexandria, Virginia, specializing in GIS-focused workforce optimization, cloud infrastructure, data analysis, and custom application and data visualization development. The Geospatial Business Development Representative (Inside Sales) is focused on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities for GeoMarvel’s geospatial solutions and services, including managing sales pipelines and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities:

• Researching prospective clients
• Qualifying inbound and outbound leads
• Conducting discovery calls to understand customer needs in GIS, cloud, and data visualization
• Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
• Delivering product and service overviews
• Preparing proposals
• Supporting contract negotiations in coordination with senior sales and technical teams
• Using CRM tools
• Collaborating with marketing on campaigns
• Communicating with solution engineers to ensure accurate scoping and a smooth handoff from sales to delivery

Requirements:

• Demonstrated Inside Sales experience, with the ability to manage a high volume of outreach and follow-up effectively
• Lead Generation and prospecting skills, including researching target accounts and qualifying opportunities
• Strong Communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven Sales and Business Development capabilities, including pipeline management and opportunity progression
• Comfort using CRM platforms and sales enablement tools to track activities and metrics
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize tasks, and meet targets and deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Geography, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to partner with technical and marketing teams to refine messaging and offerings
• Familiarity with GIS, geospatial technologies, or SaaS solutions is highly beneficial
