Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is a leader in the North American power systems and rail transportation markets. They are seeking a motivated Field Project Manager I to support customer projects from quotation through completion, coordinating proposals, documentation, and project execution while serving as a liaison among various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Support assigned sales and service projects from quotation through execution while helping ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Coordinate project schedules, equipment deliveries, installation activities, closeout documentation, and warranty obligations
- Direct and oversee on-site construction activities, subcontractors, and service providers during installation and commissioning activities
- Monitor project progress to ensure work complies with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards
- Serve as a liaison between customers, contractors, vendors, and internal MEPPI divisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Keep customers, management, and stakeholders informed through regular project status updates and effective communication
- Coordinate customer documentation submittals
- Assist with project scheduling, implementation, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance activities
- Assist with preparing customer and subcontractor quotations
- Help develop subcontractor scopes of work for installation and service activities
- Review project-related payment requests and support contract administration activities
- Prepare project activity reports and participate in project meetings
- Coordinate project closeout activities and ensure service and warranty commitments are successfully completed
- Build positive working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams while supporting the Division's commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another related technical field required
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of relevant project management, engineering, construction, or technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of one or more of the following: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, Battery systems, IT Cooling equipment, Transmission & Distribution substation equipment, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar inverter systems
- Basic understanding of project management, construction, and commissioning concepts
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project
