Field Project Manager

Tantalus Systems is a technology company focused on modernizing utility distribution grids through data solutions. The Field Project Manager will oversee TRUConnect AMI deployments, manage customer relationships, and ensure project delivery and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects from initiation through to delivery and commissioning
• Support customers in solving complex problems, as well as provide customer training and technical on-site support
• Provide leadership to multiple stakeholders to define requirements, establish system design, coordinate deliveries and report to customers
• Oversee systems integration – specifically, work with customer utilities in integrating TRUConnect AMI to other utility vendor systems
• Negotiate, implement, and supervise subcontracts, when required
• Regularly review and report on project performance to management and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree or advanced certification in Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering (Computer, Electrical or Systems), or other related field
• 6+ years of experience managing the operation, deployment and/or installation of large, multi-faceted projects in large IT, telemetry, control or communications systems/networks
• Customer/stakeholder management experience
• A demonstrated aptitude for understanding complex technical communication systems and technology in a short time
• Attention to detail, deadlines and strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while exercising proactivity, flexibility and good judgement
• Strong organizational, planning and follow-through skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects, tasks, stakeholders and remain focused in a fast paced, high volume work environment
• Ability to manage dynamic external and internal stakeholder relationships
• Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
• A PMP designation is preferred
• Experience in AMI/AMR, RF or Wireless communications is an asset
