Software Development Engineer

CVS Health is building a world of health around every individual, aiming to simplify health care for communities. The Software Development Engineer will develop and maintain software solutions while collaborating across teams to meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, robust software solutions across the full stack, front-end and back-end
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Deliver customer-focused releases through iterative development
• Ensure simplicity and maintainability in software design
• Collaborate across teams to meet organizational needs
• Promote a culture of inclusive collaboration and continuous learning

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Strong proficiency in languages such as Javascript, Typescript, C#, Go, or others
• Solid foundation in software engineering principles: problem-solving, data structures, algorithms, and patterns
• Experience in full-stack development, capable of shipping and operating large-scale systems
• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS like SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Understanding of distributed systems design, implementation, and operation
• Familiarity with at least one cloud vendor: Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Effective communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Solid experience and understanding of C# and .NET Core for application development
• Skilled in using React and TypeScript for web application development
• Experience with asynchronous, event-based architectures
• Proficiency in technologies like REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Knowledge of Application and Performance Monitoring platforms, e.g., New Relic
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
