Leidos is seeking a DevOps / Cloud Architect – Systems Engineer to support CDC DHP cloud-based analytics, modernization, and operational sustainment initiatives. This role provides technical leadership for cloud architecture and infrastructure automation, ensuring reliable and secure operation of modern and legacy analytical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cloud architecture, infrastructure, automation, and DevOps activities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Support cloud-based analytics and data management environments
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions
- Support monitoring, performance optimization, security, and operational readiness
- Assist with modernization initiatives and phased migration activities
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, governance, and operations teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience supporting cloud architecture, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or systems engineering
- Experience with Azure cloud environments and DevOps practices
- Experience supporting CI/CD, automation, and deployment pipelines
- Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering skills
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance
- Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or public health analytics environments
- Experience with EDAV (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, R Studio, PowerBI, Tableau), 1CDP (Palantir Foundry), Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting migration from SAS to other analytics solutions (e.g., R, Python, Databricks, Palantir Foundry)
- Experience supporting modernization, migration, and cloud adoption initiatives
- Experience with Kubernetes, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code technologies
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), or equivalent certifications
