Sargent & Lundy is a company specializing in delivering advanced engineering solutions across various sectors, including power generation and industrial projects. They are seeking a Project Manager to manage project teams and ensure successful project execution in the Energy & Industrial Group.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project team(s) consisting of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals involved in the design, modification, and analysis for power and industrial projects
- Work on challenging assignments from individual projects, large projects, major programs, to large scale engineering only, Engineer Procure and EPC projects
- Direct the team leads in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of engineering, design, and construction support
- Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, with high quality, on time performance and to strict financial requirements
- Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements
- Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats
- Perform and provide independent reviews of work performed by others, including scopes of work, proposals, procurement specifications, and contract documents
Requirements:
- A BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required
- PE license is required
- 10+ years of past relevant experience in the power and/or industrial sector as a project manager
- Experience in the design of systems for non-commercial, heavy industrial plants (power or chemical), with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, modifications, or replacements; Experience must include the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation of calculations and specifications
- Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
