Business Analyst

Diversified Systems is an award-winning Technology Services corporation providing IT project consulting services nationwide. They are searching for a Business Analyst to work with customers and the development team, ensuring the system functions as desired through testing, requirements gathering, documentation, and customer support.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the customer and development team under the direction of a team lead to ensure the system functions as desired
• Perform requirements gathering activities
• Perform testing activities
• Develop and maintain documentation
• Provide customer support
• Communicate clearly and work with users and clients as necessary
• Participate on a Scrum Team
• Participate in Facilitated Workshops for requirements analysis
• Test and document requirements related to accessibility of a software application
• Develop Business Requirements including project initiation documentation, needed achievements, and quality measures
• Develop Functional requirements describing what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill business requirements
• Develop User (stakeholder) requirements and ensure stakeholder needs are appropriately interpreted
• Develop Quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements including performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security, and usability
• Assist with training, developing user guides, and other Business Analyst activities when necessary
• Create user stories, tasks, and bugs in Azure DevOps Studio or similar software

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience with requirements gathering required
• 2 years of experience supporting software in a Production Environment and handling customer reported issues required
• 2 years of experience developing Business Requirements documentation required
• 2 years of experience conducting full system testing with overall functionality required
• Experience with Automated Testing practices and software, such as Selenium required
• Strong organization and writing skills required
• Experience participating in Facilitated Workshops for requirements analysis required
• Experience testing or documenting requirements related to accessibility of a software application required
• Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies required
• Experience creating user stories, tasks, and bugs in Azure DevOps Studio, or similar software required
• Experience in working on a Scrum Team or Agile environment highly desired
• Prior Commonwealth experience highly desired
• Familiarity with testing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) highly desired
