Empowerly is an education technology company that personalizes college and career counseling with a mission to empower students. They are seeking a motivated Admissions Sales Development Representative to serve as the first point of contact for prospective families, qualifying their needs and scheduling consultations to assist students in achieving their college admissions goals.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families, representing Empowerly with professionalism, enthusiasm, and empathy
- Conduct a high volume of outbound outreach through phone, email, SMS, HubSpot, PersistIQ, ZOOM, and other sales engagement platforms
- Engage, qualify, and nurture prospective families to determine their needs and fit for Empowerly's services
- Schedule qualified consultations for the Account Executive team and help build a healthy sales pipeline
- Execute multi-touch outreach campaigns while maintaining high response and conversion rates
- Follow up with prospective families who cancel or miss scheduled consultations to re-engage them in the admissions process
- Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, pipeline activity, and customer data within HubSpot
- Partner closely with the SDR Manager, Sales team, and Marketing team to improve lead generation strategies and optimize conversion rates
- Stay informed on Empowerly's services, the college admissions landscape, and competitor trends
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a competitive accredited U.S. university
- Ability to commit to work a mid-shift with evening hours (10am-7pm PST) that align to Pacific Standard Time (PST) during the week and at least one full weekend shift per week
- One or more years of experience in sales development, inside sales, customer success, recruiting, or another customer-facing role involving significant outbound communication
- Strong desire to build a long-term career in consultative sales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound phone calls and engaging prospective customers
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Coachable, resilient, and confident handling objections and feedback
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fully remote environment
- Experience using CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and Google Workspace
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Previous experience in Education, EdTech, admissions, or college counseling
- Experience using HubSpot, PersistIQ, ZOOM, or similar sales engagement platforms
- Experience working in a startup or other high-growth environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales metrics and pipeline performance
