ACL Digital is focused on enhancing governance capabilities across various programs, including Data Governance, Information Governance, and AI Governance. The Business Process Engineer will partner across business units to translate needs into practical processes and documentation, while operating with autonomy to drive governance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement governance processes, workflows, and documentation for programs across a range of maturity - from established to still-forming
- Translate business needs into practical frameworks, tools, and training materials
- Partner with stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences to drive adoption
- Operate with significant autonomy - identify gaps, propose solutions, and execute without a predefined playbook
- Flex across programs as priorities shift, applying the same core skill set to different levels of ambiguity and structure
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in business process, governance, compliance, IT business analysis, or a related field
- Proven work experience designing, implementing, or improving business processes, workflows, or governance frameworks
- Proven work experience creating documentation, guides, or training materials for varied technical and business audiences
- Proven work experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption of new processes or initiatives
- Proven work experience independently identifying gaps and building solutions without an established playbook
- Experience with data, information, or AI governance, compliance, or risk-related work
- Experience in higher education or another complex, decentralized institutional environment
- Quickly grasps governance, policy, or regulatory requirements and translates them into clear processes, documentation, guides, and stakeholder conversations
- Comfortable building structure from ambiguity; doesn't wait to be told what to do
- Strong process design, documentation, and analytical skills
- Skilled communicator who adapts across technical and executive audiences
- Self-directed, results-oriented, adaptable to shifting priorities
- Exposure to governance, compliance, or risk-related work (data, information, or AI)
- Bachelor's degree preferred (any field)
- Higher education experience as a student or employee is a plus
