They are seeking a Software Engineer IV (Technical Lead) who will develop and maintain software solutions while providing technical leadership and mentoring to team members. This hybrid role involves hands-on engineering work and oversight of engineering best practices to support business operations and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the Agile Program Manager (APM), Digital Product Manager (DPM), and Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to accurately capture stakeholder requests and system specifications and translate them into engineering artifacts, including design specifications, source code, test scripts, and test results
- Partners with software architects and other technical leaders to ensure solutions align with Enterprise Architecture principles and software engineering best practices
- Serves as a Lead SWE, balancing approximately 50% hands-on engineering work and 50% technical leadership, mentoring, and team coordination responsibilities
- Performs application design, coding, code reviews, testing, production support, troubleshooting, and process automation activities
- Provides technical leadership across Agile teams and keeps stakeholders apprised of project status, risks, and dependencies
- Offers recommendations to stakeholders on effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program objectives
- Manages engineering risks by proactively identifying, communicating, and mitigating issues
- Liaises with other project and program teams to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
- Supports business units in the resolution of complex user questions and production issues while adhering to established support processes and SLAs
- Provides input into product roadmaps, high-level estimates, engineering standards, guidelines, processes, and templates
- Mentors and coaches engineers, providing regular feedback to support technical growth, skill development, and career progression
- Partners with architects and cross-functional teams to develop solution designs and drive technical decision-making
- Identifies gaps in engineering processes, development practices, and team workflows, and drives continuous improvement initiatives
- Leads or participates in cross-team technical discussions, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment on architecture, delivery, and engineering standards
- Demonstrates experience managing team priorities, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies, best practices, and modern application development approaches
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications

- Development experience with Java, .NET/C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience developing scalable, high-availability applications using Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
- Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and Memcached
- Strong JavaScript development experience with frameworks such as Angular, RxJS, and Node.js
- Front-end development experience using ReactJS, Webpack, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, responsive design, accessibility standards, and modern UI/UX practices
- Strong understanding of application scalability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and application infrastructure
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins and Octopus Deploy
- Familiarity with continuous delivery and infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Salt
- Proficiency in Java, .NET/C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, Windows, IIS, Linux, Tomcat, JBoss, T-SQL, SSIS, PL/SQL, and shell scripting
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization technologies, and cloud-native deployment practices is preferred
- Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, and/or 8–10+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience
- Previous experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Team Lead, or Proxy Manager within an Agile software development environment is strongly preferred
