TradeEngage is an innovative company focused on building referral networks in the home services sector. The Sales Development Representative and Community Builder will engage with home service business owners to book demos and foster a local community that enhances cross-promotional opportunities among trades.
Responsibilities:
- Run outbound calls, emails, and follow-up sequences to home service companies across the country, booking demos with qualified companies
- Contact companies invited to TradeEngage by existing partners and follow up on marketplace referral opportunities
- Clearly and professionally explain TradeEngage's value to trades business owners, and re-engage inactive or unresponsive prospects
- Qualify whether businesses are a strong fit for the platform and support them through onboarding and activation
- Connect customers into local referral communities with complementary trades in their market, brokering introductions that lead to cross-promotion and referrals between them
- Represent TradeEngage at networking events and industry functions to build community and surface new relationships
- Follow existing scripts, workflows, and playbooks, and help improve them; share feedback on messaging, objections, and conversion
- Maintain accurate CRM records and strong communication hygiene across every account
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in SDR, inside sales, customer success, onboarding, or account management, ideally at a SaaS company
- A natural connector. You instinctively think about who should know whom, and you love building relationships and networks, not just closing a single deal
- A consultative communicator who can adapt to trades business owners (plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians, roofers), balancing professionalism with empathy
- AI-native. You use AI tools (Claude) in your day-to-day work and are eager to keep developing that skill
- Outcomes-oriented. You care about demos booked, activation, and referral traction, not vanity activity metrics
- An organized operator for whom CRM hygiene is second nature
- home services or trades familiarity
- community, partnerships, or event-building experience
- franchise experience
- sales engagement tools
