About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery practices across complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives. This role requires a servant leader who can facilitate cross-functional collaboration, drive execution, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while partnering closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Architects, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate combines deep Agile expertise with strong technical acumen, enabling effective collaboration in environments involving system integrations, APIs, infrastructure, cloud technologies, and software delivery lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
- Sprint Planning
- Quarterly/Program Planning
- Daily Stand-Ups
- Sprint Reviews and Demos
- Sprint Retrospectives
- Ensure adherence to Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and team working agreements.
- Support backlog refinement and prioritization activities with Product Owners.
- Drive empirical process control through continuous inspection and adaptation.
- Manage sprint execution and ensure alignment to business and delivery objectives.
- Track resource capacity, team utilization, and delivery forecasting.
Delivery Management & Metrics
- Monitor team health and delivery effectiveness using Agile metrics, including:
- Velocity
- Sprint Burn-down and Burn-up Charts
- Cycle Time
- Throughput
- Identify, manage, and escalate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers.
- Facilitate coordination across multiple Agile teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate progress, risks, achievements, and outcomes to leadership and key stakeholders.
Technical Partnership & Risk Management
- Demonstrate understanding of system architectures, APIs, integrations, and technical dependencies.
- Partner with engineering teams to assess technical feasibility, complexity, and delivery impacts.
- Support discussions related to:
- Technical Debt
- Infrastructure and Environment Challenges
- Release and Deployment Readiness
- Security Vulnerabilities and Remediation Efforts
- Software and Hardware End-of-Life Planning
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering Leaders to proactively mitigate delivery risks.
Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement
- Coach teams, stakeholders, and leaders on Agile values, Scrum practices, and servant leadership principles.
- Promote team accountability, self-organization, and ownership.
- Protect teams from unplanned work and unnecessary disruptions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through retrospectives and actionable follow-through.
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and customer-focused delivery.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile technology teams.
- Proven experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and driving Agile delivery across complex technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including:
- Scrum
- Kanban
- Scrum of Scrums
- Experience managing cross-functional dependencies, delivery risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, systems integration, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and application delivery.
Required Tools & Technologies- Jira (Agile boards, backlog management, sprint tracking, reporting)
- Confluence (documentation, retrospectives, knowledge management)
- SharePoint
- Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Suite
Agile Methodologies & Practices- Sprint-based delivery and iteration planning
- Backlog management and prioritization
- Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD)
- Story estimation techniques (Planning Poker, Fibonacci)
- Incremental and iterative delivery
- Agile SDLC workflows and release management
Preferred Qualifications- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology environments.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, data platforms, or DevOps ecosystems.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have- Previous experience in software engineering, application development, or quality assurance.
- Experience supporting multiple Agile teams within large, matrixed organizations.
- Exposure to enterprise transformation, modernization, or digital delivery programs.
