Position Summary:
Reports to the Vice President, Human Resources. Provides human resources and recruiting support for the corporate office of MTC. Aids in ensuring overall compliance with management and government goals and objectives throughout the corporation.
Essential Functions:
- Provide effective and immediate recruitment services by processing applications, screening candidates, scheduling and/or conducting interviews, and managing the recruiting pipeline for vacancies at all MTC corporate offices[SV1.1], Wardens, Deputy Wardens, Center Directors, Deputy Center Directors, and their equivalents.
- Post open requisitions to internal applicant tracking system (ATS) or job boards, including sponsored advertising channels when deemed necessary.
- Screen candidates and initiate a call, email and/or text within 24 hours of receiving them through the ATS.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to schedule interviews with candidates.
- Make offers of employment as directed by management, follow up with candidates, and maintain contact with candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process to improve employee experience.
- Follow up with candidates to ensure they attend interviews and successfully move through the process in a timely manner.
- Move candidates through the ATS workflow process.
- Ensure online job postings are effective.
- Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diverse candidates. Develop and maintain a network of contacts to attract excellent candidates.
- Develop, monitor and provide assistance to ensure effective Affirmative Action Program (AAP) compliance; support corporate affirmative action good faith efforts.
- Onboard new hires to corporate positions including ensuring completion of all Oracle modules, collection of required documentation, tour of the office, and coordination with Department Head and IT to ensure the new hire has the necessary resources to do their job.
- Coordinate our employee service recognition program.
- It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field and three years of directly related experience, two of which must be supervisory. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Experience should include employment, compensation, employee and labor relations, affirmative action and staff training and development.
- Must have word processing and spreadsheet experience.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
