Job Description Software Quality Assurance Analyst (QA Automation with AI) Role: Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Boise, ID (Remote)
We are looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Analyst with strong expertise in QA Automation, Selenium, Java, API Testing, and CI/CD to support enterprise applications for the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Build reusable automated regression test suites.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, UAT, and production validation testing.
- Manage and maintain test case repositories.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Improve testing efficiency using AI-powered testing tools and intelligent automation.
- Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, and GraphQL.
- Execute performance and load testing using JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
- Support Dockerized test execution and Selenium Grid environments.
- Analyze automated test results and generate reporting dashboards.
- Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams.
- Develop and maintain QA standards, best practices, and testing procedures.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Validate software releases to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of Software Quality Assurance and Automation Testing experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Test Automation Frameworks.
- Strong experience with:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Selenium Grid
- Java
- JUnit/TestNG
- Jenkins
- Experience implementing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong API Testing experience using:
- Postman
- Rest Assured
- SoapUI
- Experience with:
- REST APIs
- GraphQL
- OAuth2
- JWT
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong defect management and debugging skills.
- Experience creating regression automation suites.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- State Government project experience (Highly Preferred)
- Health Department/Public Health project experience (Strongly Preferred)
- Experience with AI-assisted software testing.
- Java programming/scripting experience.
- Knowledge of TDD, ATDD, and BDD methodologies.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as:
- Experience with Swagger or Pact for contract testing.
- Knowledge of Selenium Grid execution environments.
