Senior QA Automation Engineer – Playwright/Selenium

Cognizant is a leading technology and engineering company, and they are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright and Selenium. The role involves designing and implementing scalable test automation solutions to improve software quality and accelerate release cycles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript, and Java
• Create and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test solutions across multiple applications and platforms
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and support rapid software delivery
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and partner with development teams to drive timely issue resolution
• Enhance automation coverage, maintain reusable test assets, and continuously improve testing processes, quality metrics, and engineering best practices

Requirements:

• 7+ years of strong experience in test automation using Playwright and/or Selenium
• Hands-on programming experience with Java and TypeScript
• Proven experience in functional testing, regression testing, and test case design and execution
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web applications
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and quality assurance best practices
• Experience collaborating within Agile software development environments
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Hands-on experience with API testing and service validation
• Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Healthcare domain experience
