Job Summary

Client is seeking an experienced Middleware Platform Architect to design, implement, and support enterprise middleware platforms that enable secure, scalable, and highly available application integration. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in middleware technologies, cloud platforms, API management, messaging systems, and DevOps automation. This role will work closely with application teams, infrastructure engineers, security teams, and enterprise architects to modernize middleware services and improve platform reliability.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Middleware Administration, Platform Engineering, or Middleware Architecture.
• Strong experience designing enterprise middleware solutions in large-scale environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical financial or banking applications is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise middleware platforms supporting business-critical banking applications.
• Architect scalable, secure, and highly available middleware infrastructure.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot middleware technologies.
• Manage WebSphere, IBM MQ, Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly, and web servers.
• Build automation for middleware deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting.
• Configure and support API gateways and microservices infrastructure.
• Monitor middleware environments and optimize performance, availability, and capacity.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy enterprise applications.
• Implement security best practices including SSL certificates, authentication, authorization, and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Support containerized middleware deployments using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions for middleware provisioning.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Document middleware architecture, standards, and operational procedures.
