Senior Java Software Engineer

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join a team building a scalable and high-performance platform. This role involves direct daily communication with clients and requires a self-starter capable of delivering high-quality results on time.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute hands-on to the project as a Software Engineer
• Participate in regular calls with client stakeholders located in the US to discuss pending items
• Collaborate with a group of world-class engineers, architects and product managers to build a scalable and high-performance platform
• Use new technologies from the technology stack of a top-tier tech company
• Focus on development activities within a supportive environment
• Analyze, design, build, test, implement and support integrations with third-party software
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience implementing and integrating third-party software through full system implementation lifecycles including analysis, design, build, test, implementation and support
• Understanding of information management, data modeling and system integration
• Familiarity with development methodologies including unit testing
• Passion for code quality with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down problems independently
• Proficiency in Java 8+, Guice and Protocol Buffers
• Skills in Guava, JUnit and Mockito
• Experience with Spanner (Cloud SQL database) and Google Cloud Platform
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
