Substation Electrical Engineering Manager (PE) – Physical Design

Orpine Inc, an Inc 5000 Company, is a nationally recognized, woman-owned firm that focuses on collaboration, learning, and innovation in the Utilities Division. They are seeking a Substation Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team in delivering substation physical designs while managing project resources and client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a talented and multi-disciplinary team delivering substation physical designs for utilities and EPC partners
• Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships
• Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects
• Manage resources , performance, and development for a growing national substation group
• Review and approve design packages , drawings, and specifications for technical excellence
• Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives
• Champion a culture of learning , innovation, collaboration, and inclusion across the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering
• an active PE license
• 15+ years of experience in physical substation design
• 4+ years in leadership
• Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design
