Broetje Automation is the world’s leading expert & OEM in aircraft manufacturing automation and robotics. The Sales Applications Engineer will lead North American sales and be responsible for sourcing new customers for the aerospace manufacturing market.
Responsibilities:
- Act as forward-facing sales personnel to achieve North American sales targets
- Become technically proficient in current and future product offerings (i.e., automated drilling and fastening equipment, composites manufacturing, etc.)
- Source leads, identify and develop relationships with decision makers
- Qualify potential customers for genuine need and ability to purchase proposed solutions
- Work with customers throughout entirety of sales process
- Lead in development of sales proposals
- Travel to customer sites as needed for sales and proposal meetings and to ensure we are providing world class customer service
- Research and identify potential future markets for existing and new Broetje products
- Identify possible derivative products and solutions to help expand our current offerings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline (i.e., mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering)
- 7+ years working in customer facing role – ideal candidate will have work experience in Aerospace industry
- Personable and outgoing; comfortable speaking in front of groups of people
- Strong sales ability, business acumen, and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Experience creating and presenting sales proposals
- Candidate must be willing to travel up to 100% and have an active US passport
