KARDA, Inc. is a company that builds mission-critical software for the law enforcement community. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to help law enforcement agencies discover and adopt their software, managing the full sales cycle and building relationships with key decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle - prospecting, discovery, demos, and closing - within your assigned territory of law enforcement agencies
- Build genuine, trust-based relationships with police chiefs, sheriffs, command staff, and procurement officers
- Travel to agencies, conferences, and trade shows (~50%) to meet decision-makers face-to-face and represent KARDA in the field
- Manage and grow a pipeline of prospective and existing accounts using CRM tools, keeping activity, forecasts, and notes current
- Understand each agency's operational needs and position KARDA's solutions as the answer
- Navigate public-sector procurement, RFPs, and government purchasing cycles
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas and revenue targets
- Represent KARDA with professionalism, energy, and integrity in every interaction
Requirements:

- Fast learner who can quickly master technical product knowledge and speak the language of law enforcement
- Comfort and confidence traveling up to 50% of the time
- Dependable, organized, and accountable - you do what you say you'll do
- Strong communication and presentation skills; you can hold a room with a chief as easily as a room of officers
- CRM experience (HubSpot or similar)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass an FBI background check
- 5+ years of sales experience (B2B, SaaS, or government sales strongly preferred)
- Prior law enforcement experience; executive-level law enforcement experience (Chief, Deputy Chief, Sheriff, Command Staff, etc.) strongly preferred
