Mythics is an award-winning Oracle systems integrator and consulting firm seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Applications Support Manager. This role is responsible for leading enterprise IT operations and ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical systems across a globally distributed federal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure and operations across systems, databases, networks, and applications
- Oversee Tier II and Tier III support, ensuring SLA adherence and rapid incident resolution
- Manage global environments including data centers, cloud, and hybrid platforms
- Direct database operations (Oracle, MS SQL Server) and application support services
- Oversee network operations including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and firewalls
- Lead geographically dispersed teams (system admins, DBAs, network engineers, support staff)
- Drive operational processes including incident, problem, and change management
- Support system upgrades, releases, and cloud migration initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal security, availability, and performance requirements
- Perform all other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
- Active PMP certification
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- 12+ years of work experience with 7+ years of experience in a project management or program management position
- 7+ years managing infrastructure, systems, database, and network operations across multiple locations
- 5+ years experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server environments
- Proven experience managing enterprise network operations (LAN, WAN, MPLS, firewalls)
- Experience leading Tier II and Tier III support teams in an enterprise environment
- Previous experience with Dept of State required
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments
- Hands-on experience with data center operations (servers, storage, networking)
- Understanding of SDLC and application support methodologies
- Experience in federal or globally distributed environments
- Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise infrastructure
- Ability to manage complex, distributed teams and systems at scale
- Effective communication across technical and executive audiences
- Commitment to accountability, service delivery, and continuous improvement
- Certifications such as OCP, Microsoft DBA, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher
