The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will engage prospective healthcare organizations to convert initial interest into qualified sales opportunities, supporting the adoption of Truven's data assets and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Respond in a timely manner to inbound marketing leads
- Educate and nurture prospects to progress qualified leads to the sales team
- Lead discovery calls with prospective clients to quickly assess needs and transition opportunities to sales
- Utilize a proactive, strategic sales approach and develop creative outreach techniques to engage prospects in deeper sales conversations
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of assigned Truven solutions, including healthcare data, analytics, and insights, along with an understanding of the competitive landscape
- Complete daily documentation of client and prospect activities in Salesforce.com and Gong
- Maintain or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for leads created, opportunities launched, and progression through noticed, identified, validated, and qualified stages
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or outbound sales
- Motivated by sales and interested in healthcare data, analytics, and technology
- Coachable, resilient, and curious mindset
- Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organization, critical thinking, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self‑starter with the ability to operate effectively in a remote, fast‑paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Comfortable leveraging video for internal and external communication
- Bachelor's degree
- Healthcare IT, analytics, or data‑driven solutions experience
- Previous experience using Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, 6sense and Gong
- Ability to quickly assess an organization's needs and personalize outreach accordingly
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
