The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Experience in detail engineering consultancy is preferred. However, similar working experience in design side of mechanical / technical services department of a Refinery / Petrochemical / Fertiliser / Chemical plant may also be considered. Working in ENGINEERING DEPT of Manufacturer Company shall also be considered.
- Experience in FEED, proposal (including work hour estimate) and detail engineering activities of Rotating equipment (Pumps / agitators/ compressors / Turbines etc.) and packages (utilities /process plant packages) such as preparation of design basis, technical requisitions, Vendor offer review, technical bid evaluations and vendor drawing review etc.
- Familiar with API Standards for respective machinery and also familiar with other relevant codes such as ISO, ASTM, ANSI ASME, HIS, NFPA etc.
- Knowledge of sealing and lubrication systems as per relevant API codes.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and controls related to rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of systems, equipment, plot plan, plant layout, development of project deliverables within the discipline.
- Knowledge of Market availability of Rotating equipment’s and aware of Difference in the Features of products of different vendors Shall be required to handle / mentor the department and should have handled large projects independently.
- Function as Lead Engineer / Engineer for assigned projects in the engineering of rotating machinery. ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE preferred.
- Shall have lead large projects and shall able to manage team and project effectively.
- Experience in PUMPS, Agitators and / or COMPRESSORS.
Other Attributes
- Prepare datasheets, specifications and material requisition.
- Review and evaluate supplier proposals and prepare bid tabulations. Shall be able to handle and close deviation to API codes with Vendor independently.
- Review supplier documentation for compliance to specifications.
- Excellent Co-ordination skills must to handle Client, inter disciplines and vendors.
- Assist with P&ID, 3-D piping model, and HAZOP reviews.
- Witness and evaluate performance tests(preferred).
- Mentor Junior Engineers.
