The Manager, Sales Development drives pipeline generation, market expansion, and revenue acceleration by leading a high-performing inbound sales organization within Empower’s hyper-growth pharmacy environment. This role involves owning sales development strategy, prospecting execution, and cross-functional alignment to enhance customer acquisition and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize Empower’s sales development function by establishing scalable inbound strategies, driving qualified pipeline growth, and aligning prospecting priorities with enterprise revenue objectives
- Recruit, develop, and retain elite sales development talent capable of operating effectively within a fast-paced, highly regulated healthcare environment
- Drive operational excellence through disciplined management of sales activity metrics, pipeline health, prospect engagement, and conversion performance
- Design and execute targeted inbound prospecting initiatives that expand market reach, strengthen provider engagement, and accelerate customer acquisition opportunities
- Strengthen prospect and customer engagement by establishing consistent communication standards, value-driven messaging, and data-informed outreach strategies aligned with Empower’s growth objectives
- Align sales development initiatives with Empower’s enterprise growth strategy by translating commercial priorities into measurable execution plans, operational targets, and market expansion activities
- Continuously improve sales development processes, workflows, and operational standards to support scalability, consistency, and execution rigor across the organization
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and operational consistency across sales development data, reporting structures, and performance tracking systems
- Maintain disciplined adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and commercial operating standards within Empower’s highly regulated 503A and 503B environment
- Build strong collaborative partnerships across sales, marketing, analytics, customer engagement, and operational teams to support aligned execution and scalable commercial growth
- Deliver clear, actionable communication to executive leadership, commercial stakeholders, and sales development teams regarding performance results, strategic priorities, and operational opportunities
- Champion innovation by identifying emerging technologies, process enhancements, and operational improvements that strengthen sales development effectiveness and commercial scalability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or commercial operations leadership roles with demonstrated responsibility for team performance and pipeline growth
- Minimum of 3 years of direct people leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, performance management, talent development, and execution accountability within high-growth environments
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms, sales engagement technologies, analytics tools, and AI-enabled business solutions to improve operational performance, forecasting accuracy, and commercial effectiveness
- Strong understanding of inbound sales methodologies, prospecting strategies, pipeline management practices, and performance optimization frameworks within complex, rapidly evolving business environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within highly regulated, fast-paced organizations requiring adaptability, strategic thinking, operational rigor, and measurable execution results
- Valid driver's license required for business travel and customer engagement activities, as needed
- Master's degree preferred
- Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP), Strategic Sales Leadership Certification (SSLC), or related commercial leadership credentials
